Sphynx Cat Bathing: Weekly Skin Care

Why Regular Bathing

Hairless Sphynx cats produce normal skin oils but lack fur to absorb them. Without bathing, oil causes infections and furniture staining.

Bathing Routine

Bathe every 1-2 weeks using gentle cat-safe shampoo. Lukewarm water. Clean ears thoroughly as wax buildup is common.

Sun Protection

Sphynx cats burn easily. Keep out of direct sunlight. Apply pet-safe sunscreen if they sunbathe.

Temperature

Without fur, they lose heat quickly. Provide heated beds and warm clothing. Keep indoor temperature above 70F.
